About
Hilla Hueber is a San Francisco Artist who currently lives and works in Düsseldorf. She creates detailed abstract drawings in pen and ink on paper and wood panel and abstract paintings in acrylic.
Born and raised in Germany, she lived in Munich most of her life before moving to San Francisco in 1997. While working full-time in a corporate job, she explored the Bay Area with her camera every opportunity she had. She discovered breathtaking nature and a lively art scene. The special California light inspired her to begin drawing and painting. Although she had a keen interest in art, design, architecture and photography since her early teens, she had no background in the arts and sought instruction at SFSU and UC Berkeley Extension. This opened a new world for her that she hasn’t left since. In 2010 she decided to become a full-time artist maintaining a daily art practice in her studio in San Francisco which she moved to Düsseldorf in 2016.
